Spider and crawling insect extermination

Montreal, Laval and the South Shore

Webs that come back the day after you clean, spiders in every corner of the basement, outside walls covered in webs in August: a lot of spiders is often a sign of another insect problem. We treat both.

Most spiders in Quebec are harmless, but large numbers of them are annoying, worrying and messy. They come into buildings for one simple reason: to feed. Where there are insects, spiders follow. They settle in quiet, dark places, then use cracks, windows and ducts to get around.

That's why removing the webs doesn't fix anything. To reduce spiders over the long term, you have to deal with their food, their ways in and the spots they like. Our treatments target spiders, ants and other crawling insects at the same time.

Why spiders move into your home

A supply of insects

Flies, gnats, ants: spiders set up wherever their food goes by.

Quiet, dark places

Basements, garages, ceiling corners, the underside of decks and eaves.

Easy ways in

Cracks, damaged screens, poorly fitted doors, ducts and soffits.

Changing seasons

In the fall, they look for shelter; in summer, they take over lit-up exterior walls.

Signs you need a treatment

The sooner you spot the signs, the simpler the treatment.

  • Webs that come back soon after cleaning
  • Spiders turning up regularly in the same rooms or corners
  • Exterior walls, soffits and window frames covered in webs
  • Other insects around for them to feed on
  • Egg sacs in corners, behind furniture or in the garage

How we work

A proven method we've used for over 20 years, adapted to each building.

  1. Inspection

We check infested areas, inside and on the outside of the building.

  2. Finding the cause

Insects present, entry points, moisture, lighting: we look for what draws and feeds the spiders.

  3. Targeted treatment

Registered products applied to problem areas, safe for your family and pets when the instructions are followed.

  4. Cutting off the source

Insect control and advice to keep spiders outside for the long term.

So the problem doesn't come back

  • Cut back on outdoor lighting that draws insects to your doors, or choose bulbs that attract fewer insects.
  • Seal cracks and repair screens.
  • Keep the basement and garage uncluttered and well ventilated.
  • Remove webs regularly to limit egg-laying.
  • A seasonal exterior treatment keeps exterior walls clear all summer.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find what you're looking for? A technician answers 24/7.

Call 514-231-1615
Are Quebec spiders dangerous?

The species found in homes around here are almost all harmless. The problem is mostly their numbers, the webs and the discomfort they cause, and what they reveal: a population of insects that feeds them.

Do you treat other crawling insects too?

Yes. Ants, earwigs, sow bugs, millipedes and other crawling insects are covered by the same type of treatment. For cockroaches or bed bugs, call us: we'll assess the situation and suggest the right approach.

Do I need to leave the house during the treatment?

In most cases, no. The technician tells you what precautions to take, depending on the products and the areas treated.
